Mel Aked
Mel completed her Law degree and then went on to complete her Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School in Leeds.
Throughout her studies she worked as a Team Leader in a hotel, which led to the realisation that she didn’t want to become a solicitor, but instead wanted to team her legal knowledge with her love of customer service.
Mel joined First4Lawyers in November 2011 as a Claims Advisor, which presented a great balance between her two career interests.
Since joining she has built her experience in personal injury claims, progressing into more senior roles within the team - resulting in her recent promotion to the role of Team Leader in December 2017. She was more recently promoted again to Assistant Head of Claims.
She is keen to use her experiences to help other claims advisors build on their experiences to deliver a quality service to clients.
In her previous role Mel dedicated a lot of time to devising client journeys, to ensure every client receives a high level of service.
Now, she enjoys working with our claims advisors to ensure this client journey is brought to life.
In her time away from the office Mel enjoys adventuring with her family.
Most recently she has invested in a tent to go off exploring the Yorkshire countryside with her husband and young daughter.
