The Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will have a broad range of marketing, public relations, social media and digital experience along with excellent planning, organisational and copywriting skills. Within the marketing team, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of agreed activities across B2B and B2C on-and-offline activities and campaigns, social and digital content, as well as supporting the team to develop and deliver marketing and PR campaigns. Measuring the return on investment of activities and campaigns will be key to you continuing to learn and build on your successes.

You will have experience working in a marketing role, ideally incorporating B2B and B2C activities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualifications in relevant Marketing / PR subject would be an advantage, but other demonstrable experience would be considered
  • A good level of experience in a similar position, in-house or agency
  • A good understanding of marketing and PR campaign planning and tactical implementation
  • Hands on experience of online and print communications and marketing campaigns
  • Demonstrable examples of delivering marketing / PR projects
  • Experience of writing and creating content for social, digital and print
  • Experience dealing with journalists and the wider media
  • Experience of B2C and B2B marketing in digital environments
  • Experience of using CMS, Umbraco
  • Experience using PR media database, ResponseSource
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • A commercial awareness and the ability to think strategically, innovatively and creatively
  • Copywriting and design skills across online and print
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent computer and digital skills
  • Experience of social tools and digital analytics, email applications and automation platforms
  • Experience of using and / or managing customer relationship management (CRM) tools
  • Ability to work to deadlines with strong organisation and time management skills
  • High order of interpersonal skills to gain credibility and maintain positive relationships with team members, managers and external parties
  • Ability to work as part of a team but be able to use initiative and take responsibility for work
  • Ability to work productively and work well under pressure
  • Understanding of GDPR and data management regulations
  • Experience of using Social Media Management tool, Sprout Social (desirable)
  • Understanding of Google Analytics (desirable)
  • Experience of using Adobe Creative Cloud apps Photoshop and Illustrator (desirable)
  • Understanding of Salesforce CRM (desirable)

Marketing Executive Responsibilities:

B2B marketing

  • Support B2B marketing campaigns that include panel law firm retention and recruitment and suggest campaign initiatives
  • Conduct market research to support B2B marketing campaigns
  • Produce marketing communications and collateral for both online and print campaigns
  • Support the creation and delivery of annual industry white paper
  • Support delivery of B2B in-person and online events such as conferences, round tables and exhibitions
  • Manage and maintain B2B customer relationship management tool as required for B2B marketing campaigns

Social media (B2C and B2B channels)

  • Run all First4Laywers social media channels (B2C and B2B) to enhance audience engagement and maintain active social media profiles including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube
  • Generate content for social media and actively utilise social media to spread key messages
  • Recommend new and innovative ways to employ social media to increase followers and engagement
  • Monitoring social comments (daily) to protect the reputation of First4Lawyers online
  • Dealing with social media orientated enquiries and passing them to the relevant department

Digital (B2C and B2B websites)

  • Produce, edit and curate content articles ensuring themes are creative and relevant
  • Identify proactive (calendar hooks / planned events) and reactive (breaking news) opportunities, that provide content to develop articles
  • Develop content articles to support SEO performance and ranking
  • Identify new content opportunities as relevant for the B2C and B2B websites
  • Maintain and update relevant information on the B2C and B2B websites
  • Source customer reviews and develop case studies quarterly to be published on the First4Lawyers B2C website
  • Manage and deliver video content, where relevant
  • Monitoring online comments to protect the reputation of First4Lawyers online
  • Monitor and manage Trustpilot reviews (daily), responding to negative feedback and passing reviews to the relevant department. Develop social media content to showcase the service levels First4Lawyers deliver

Public relations

  • Support PR campaigns and proactively suggest initiatives that get people talking positively about First4Lawyers to raise overall brand awareness across all media: national, regional, online and social
  • Conduct market research to support PR campaigns and use the findings to assist with campaigns and content
  • Researching, writing and distributing content and creative campaigns to targeted media
  • Being up-to-date on the latest news stories to identify content and PR opportunities
  • Building relationships with journalists across B2C media
  • Monitor forward features and journalist requests and identify relevant opportunities for First4Lawyers to pitch to
  • Daily round up of relevant industry and consumer news that could be useful for the business

Evaluation and reporting

  • Evaluate and review digital and social content to make sure the correct mediums and content topics are being used and are effective
  • Track digital and social performance and return on investment and prepare weekly, monthly and yearly reports for management to monitor progress
  • Monitor and report on competitor digital and social activity and PR campaigns
  • Collating and analysing First4Lawyers B2C coverage and return on investment
  • Constantly monitor and evaluate social media using a range of tools
  • Produce a monthly and yearly social media and content report
  • Use Google Analytics to evaluate performance of website content articles
  • Constantly monitor and evaluate specific PR campaigns that you are responsible for and the relevant campaign KPI’s
  • Creation of weekly and monthly Trustpilot reports for relevant teams
