Mrs R Received £17,250 After Slip

Mrs R was enjoying a family holiday at a caravan site in Norfolk. She was helping her granddaughter with a task when she slipped on a damp ramp.

It was discovered after Mrs R’s fall that the ramp did not have sufficient grit and it lacked a handrail, posing a real danger to Mrs R and her granddaughter.

Mrs R’s fall was serious, resulting in her ankle being broken in two places. When she got medical attention, she was told she needed to have it screwed and pinned for it to heal.

Three years after the accident, Mrs R still didn’t have full mobility in her foot, which shows the severity of the injury.

After seeing our TV advert, Mrs R decided to call First4Lawyers to find out if she was able to claim any compensation. We took some initial details from her and decided she would likely have a case strong enough to pursue.

We put her in touch with a solicitor who specialises in slips, trips and falls. Mrs R’s solicitor took her case on in a No Win No Fee capacity, so Mrs R was reassured that if she wasn’t successful, she wouldn’t have to pay anything out.

However, that wasn’t the case. Mrs R’s solicitor was successful, obtaining her £17,250 in compensation for her injury. This figure took into account the lasting nature of her injury, as well as the offer of physiotherapy to help her recover.

Speaking about her experience with First4Lawyers, Mrs R said: “I have no complaints at all. I was kept informed at all stages, and I am 100% satisfied with First4Lawyers. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.”
