Mrs Marshall Received £100,000 After a Slip

Mrs Marshall was a committee member at her local community centre and was had been helping the organisation host a children’s pantomime when she sustained her injury.

After the performance she unfortunately slipped on a wet floor in the ladies' bathroom, causing her to fall. She put her hand out to try and break her fall, but she broke more than that. Mrs Marshall broke her wrist due to the impact when she hit the floor.

The wet floor was caused by a broken hand dryer in the ladies bathroom. Because no one had been assigned to keep an eye on the state of the facilities, they had been left to reach a dangerous point, leading to Mrs Marshall falling and breaking her wrist.

She had to have surgery to put a plate in her broken wrist and still suffers from the injuries, which have been life changing. Almost eight years since the accident, she still cannot do the same job she did as it involved heavy lifting, meaning she is now based in an office.

Following the accident and in severe pain, Mrs Marshall was also left to worry about her finances, which was made worse because she was self-employed and unable to work. So she did some research and found First4Lawyers online.

When Mrs Marshall contacted us, we had an initial discussion about her accident and decided that she had a strong case for justice.

We were able to put her in touch with a specialist personal injury solicitor who helped her successfully claim £100,000 in compensation. Her solicitor also helped her obtain treatment by specialist surgeons to help with her injuries.

Mrs Marshall says she would “definitely” recommend First4Lawyers and the solicitors to friends and family because we were “very good” and she was kept informed throughout the claims process.

If, like Mrs Marshall, you’ve been injured and it wasn’t your fault, we could help you get the justice you deserve. Call us on the number at the top of the screen to find out more or simply start your claim here.
