Miss Farrington Awarded £1,800 After Burning her Foot

Miss Farrington was at a hotel to attend a work conference. Tea and coffee were being served for everyone at a number of stations where people could help themselves.

She was sitting next to one of these stations and as a hotel staff member went to clear up, they knocked some of the boiling hot water over, spilling it over her foot.

The scalding water caused a large burn on the top of her foot and left her unable to wear any shoes that touched the area, meaning she could only wear flip flops.

Because she was unable to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment footwear due to her injuries, she was placed on restricted duties at work. She was also unable to walk her dogs as she was unable to wear suitable footwear, which was an upsetting experience for her.

After some research, Miss Farrington realised she may be entitled to compensation and found First4Lawyers online. She called us for help with her injuries. We were able to put her in touch with an expert personal injury solicitor, who agreed with our initial assessment that Miss Farrington had a strong claim for compensation.

Her solicitor successfully assisted her in getting the £1,800 compensation she deserved for her injury. Her claim was made on a no win no fee basis, which meant she didn’t have to pay anything upfront and she wouldn’t have to pay anything if she was not successful.

She said: “I was shocked by the lack of help provided by the company involved so I found First4Lawyers online and they were very professional and helpful.”
